TRAINING CONTENTS

Our Gastronomy and Culinary Arts programme is a Higher Education programme in the field of Gastronomy, which consists of a total of 2 years, 3053 hours, where people who are interested in cuisine, food and cooking receive scientific training in culinary arts, as well as theoretical and practical training, with a compulsory 6-month internship.

In this programme, students receive theoretical and practical trainings on cuisine such as Basic Cookery, World Cuisines, Turkish Cuisine, Basic Pastry, Bakery, Bartending & Mixology, Barista, Service, Food and Beverage Management, Kitchen trainings as well as Vocational English, Spanish and German courses.

At the end of the 1st or 2nd year of training, our students who fulfil the language proficiency level and other necessary conditions can undergo internships abroad, by paying an additional fee, in many destinations such as the United States of America, Spain, Italy, Germany, England, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Belgium, with which our school has an agreement. If our students who successfully complete their internships abroad meet the necessary conditions after graduation, they can continue their working life with a legal work permit in these countries.

The following 13 certificates and documents are awarded to the students who successfully pass the Theoretical and Practical exams conducted by the Ministry of Education at the end of the Gastronomy & Culinary Arts Higher Education programme:

  • TCA Graduation Certificate of Gastronomy & Culinary Arts Higher Education programme
  • Ministry of Education Chef (Level 4) Course Program Completion Certificate,
  • Ministry of Education Pastrycook (Level 4) Course Program Completion Certificate,
  • Ministry of Education Basic Cuisine Course Program Completion Certificate,
  • Ministry of Education Basic Pastry and Bread Making Course Program Completion Certificate,
  • Ministry of Education World Cuisines Course Program Completion Certificate,
  • Ministry of Education Classical Turkish Cuisine Course Program Completion Certificate,
  • Ministry of Education Bartending and Service Course Program Completion Certificate,
  • Ministry of Education Barista and Coffee Making Course Program Completion Certificate,
  • Ministry of Education Food and Beverage Management Course Program Completion Certificate,
  • TCA Vocational English (Cuisine) Language Certificate,
  • TCA Vocational Spanish (Cuisine) Language Certificate
  • TCA Vocational German (Cuisine) Language Certificate,

9 of these Course Completion Certificates approved by the Ministry of Education are valid internationally. These course completion certificates allow the students to legally practice their cookery, pastry, bakery, barista, barman, service personnel and food and beverage management profession in public institutions and private institutions in Turkey and open a business in Food and Beverage in accordance with the License Regulations of Municipalities. In addition, the Ministry of Education approved course completion certificates awarded as a result of the exam is valid for applications for the work permit, immigration etc. abroad in 120 countries, especially the European Union countries, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Australia etc., and our students can legally practice their cookery profession in these countries.

Accommodation

Accommodation
The students who want to attend our training outside of Ankara can stay in the most special and beautiful student dormitories of the capital, with which we have a special offer, or in 1+1, 2+1, 3+1 furnished residence apartments at exceptional prices to our school.

Internship

At the end of the theoretical and practical training for 2 years, consisting of 3053 hours, our students do their domestic internship for at least 12 weeks in each term at businesses with professional kitchens such as Restaurants, Hotels, Resorts, and Boutique Hotels in Ankara and Tourism regions determined by our school (Çeşme / Alaçatı, Bodrum, Marmaris, Cappadocia, etc.).
Students, who want to do their internship abroad and speak at least A2 level English or Spanish, pay an additional fee and can participate in paid and unpaid programs from 3 to 12 months at TCA contracted businesses such as Hotels, Restaurants in Spain, Belgium, America, Italy, Canada, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Dominica, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Uruguay.

Paid Internship Opportunities in Spain

Paid internships from 3 to 6 months are available at hotels and resorts in Barcelona, Costa Brava, Canary Islands, Majorca and Andalusia regions in Spain.

Internship Opportunities in Italy

Students who want to go to Italy for their internship abroad can do a 2-month unpaid internship at the contracted businesses in various regions of Italy if they pass the interview.

Paid Internship Opportunities in the USA

At least A2 level English-speaking students, following graduation, are also provided with the opportunity to go to a paid internship program where they can earn $15 to $20 per hour in various hotels, restaurants and businesses in the USA, and work for 12 months.

  • The Original and Notarized Photocopy of Diploma from the Last Graduated School or the Educational Status Taken from E-governance
  • Criminal Record
  • Health Certificate (from Your Family Physician or any State Hospital)
  • Stool Culture / Nose and Throat Culture / Lung X-ray Report / HIV, Hepatitis B and C Test Results
Tuition Fee

700.000 TL in Cash, 800.000 TL in Instalments including the Internship and Job Guarantee.  

4 Chef Uniforms, Professional Chef Knives Set, Professional Pastry Chef Set, Professional Bread Making Chef Set, Bartending & Mixology Set, Barista Coffee Set, Training Documents, and a TCA bag are gifted to our students. 

Vocational Training Loans with up to 48 months’ instalments are provided by the contractual banks. You can benefit from 6 instalment option with credit card payment. Payment with the bill is possible in 12 instalments. 

Job Guarantee

Thanks to our school’s cooperation with the Turkish Employment Agency for years, our students who successfully complete their training and then successfully complete their compulsory internship will be placed in a job with at least the minimum wage.
